The black plastic dress belt for No 2 Dress was purchased from the PRI (Regimental Shop) and ISTR did not often conform to the standard cap badge fitting. There was one that had a single lug hole in the centre of the buckle for a full size cap badge, secured in place by a backing plate and pin, which, again, was only sold by the PRI.

I can remember inspecting a parade of soldiers, looking splendid, or as good as Tankies could, noticed that his belt badge was "wilting". When I poked it the badge fell to the parade square. He had removed the fittings and glued the badge to the buckle.

I will dig out my parade belt and post images for info soonest.
