I suspect it is the fact that it is not yet Minden Day. I have often wondered which came first "Minden Day" or "Yorkshire Day" - I suspect that it was the former.
Remember though that there are three types of people in the world:-
1) Those who were born in Yorkshire
2) Those who wish that they had been born in Yorkshire
and
3) Those with no ambition
