I'll have to search for it, but I have a photo of a Para, early 70's, providing escort for a farmer, he's not wearing a badge backing, I can't remember the details but he's wearing a Dennison so hopefully a battalion patch on the upper arm.

On a different tack, I have an AAC beret with large government tartan patch instead of a small dark blue one and a gap in the stitching at the top of the patch for the Black Watch's red hackle, not exactly a badge backing as such I suppose.
