Default Canadian made RNAS button

I have already posted this on the 'Royal Navy and Royal Marines ' board without any response, so I thought I might see if I have any better luck with our Canadian friends!

I have recently acquired a Royal Naval Air Service button. It is a perfectly normal RNAS button with a rope rim and a King's Crown above an eagle, so I haven't posted an image of it.

What IS different about this button is its makers name on the reverse. The maker is: -

H. ROSENTHAL.TORONTO

I have never come across a Canadian made RNAS button before. I have attempted to find some information about the maker but without success. Does anyone know anything about them?

Also would this button have been issued in Canada to those Canadians that had enlisted in the RNAS or would it simply have been manufactured to supply the RNAS in the UK?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Pete
