Why this has occurred here, for the APTC A/A cap badge is currently unknown but I do wonder if a non-A/A version of the badge was authorised after the earlier A/A version's pattern date. Thanks Chris, that pretty much answers my questions, if at all possible. There are w/m and chrome plated APTC QC badges about so not impossible.
