I find this very interesting.
Specifically the period from mid/late war to 1922 when you see the overlap between WW1 design pith helmets with cork spacers to the letter over WD over number. How to determine whether a helmet with cork/buff spacers with such a stamp is late war 1916-1918 vs post war 1919-1922?
