Resurrecting this thread. Over the past few years I have seen a few of the fixed-feather type officer badge sell for high prices and am questioning the theory that feathers were separate to the badge. As with all badges, there is often an idea that because one badge is different, it must be a fake, which is often not the case. A classic example would be the idea that all RND badges had to have a Gaunt tablet but that no longer seems to be the case.

It makes me rethink the examples I picked up over 20 years ago and perhaps they shouldn't be in the fakes box.
