Im quite certain this is a copy , one made by the Great War Society living history group 30 odd years back ( Infact they were MIDDLESEX Regt. )
chin strap is wrong for a start , the trick to look for in these is originals are Machine stitched a lot of the copies for living history were hand made - just look at the flow of the stitching if you handle an example.
