The Canadian Special Operations Regiment (CSOR) tan beret is also worn by members of the parent formation CANSOFCOM. The tan beret is worn with the member's Regimental, Branch or Element cap insignia by all ranks and Branches except Military Police, who continue to wear the red beret as it is a unique Branch Identifier. In the illustrated example, the cap badge is that of the Royal Canadian Regiment. The beret is made by Dorothea Knitting Mills under the Parkhust name. It is made of pure wool and has a cloth sweatband.
