Perhaps either of the Chris's can answer that about the dating of gaunt B'ham better than I can, I know there was some debate about it being 1970's but for AA I think it is earlier. I can only go by what I have read and might have it wrong, but Chris Cunliffe's website suggests this is a good badge unless I misread it.
