That pagri flash was worn by a platoon of 2nd Bn Queen's Royal Regiment on the 'Deer Stalker' hat as part of the 1932 - 1934 trials of the experimental pattern serge uniform.

The flash was worn on the right-hand side of the hat which was to replace the Service Dress Cap.

Described and illustrated in British Army Uniforms and Insignia of WW2 by Brian L Davis.
