Default NAV badge

Hello,

First, many thanks for all your suggestions.

For the NAV badge, I had for long the track on the ROYAL NAVAL ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS.

But as said by Paddy, all sources to mention R.N.A.V. on badges ...

see Cdr MAY with two versions described :
= 1873 -gold anchor & silver laurel leaves
= 1887 - 1891 : silver anchor & gold laurel leaves

and from the site of the National Maritime Museum :
http://www.nmm.ac.uk/collections/exp...cfm?ID=UNI0501

The main problem with this badge is so :
The RNAV unit was disbanded in 1891 ! as consequence its badge was crowned by the State Crown of Queen Victoria and had no reason to show the Imperial Crown of 1901 !!!

Question remain pending ..... NAV ?
