A kind of permanent spearhead unit with an American inspired title?
Presumably no extra manpower will be recruited for it, why not repurpose an existing regiment?
Edit - it'd be good to see "The Light Infantry" return rather than "Ranger" as a unit title, but I suppose "Ranger" appeals more to Rambo type warry film watching and Medal of Honor game playing potential recruits of today.
Oh well, whatever it takes to achieve the aim, call 'em Startroopers if it gets the recruits and the job done - back in the day they could've lured me in with a few pints of beer and a couple of NAAFI hamburgers.
