With a bit of 'lateral thinking' I've come up with a completely "off the wall" suggestion !
Scottish Lion , crossed tridents , globe covered in water .

The 'tridents' could also represent the Trident missiles on the subs based there.
The waves/water either the River Clyde or the subs covering the globe.
Nearest town to the base is
Garelochhead.
This is not a serious suggestion , just a bit of fun .
