The first cap badge was introduced in 1898 which was the single scroll elephant.
The double scroll post dates the regimental change of title in 1902 to 19th (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own) Hussars. There is a photo of a silver hallmarked badge on the forum dating to 1903.
However the Danneborg Cross design was introduced before the final title change in 1908 to 19th (Queen Alexandra's Own Royal) Hussars. It was this badge that was worn up to 1921.
