! The 253rd is actually maker marked 'Kinnear & Desterre'. The 254th is not maker marked but does have the Hemsley style lugs (and the ones on my badge are original).
The 244th Offrs cap badge is also not maker marked - however, it does have the Jeffrey Hoare (JH) lead seal between the lugs.
