I don’t think they’re rare by Imperial Yeomanry standards, quite the opposite.

The MIY badge was clearly worn and still issued long into the Territorial Yeomanry period, well past post-1908. Presumably this was whilst stocks of the old badge existed and partly accounts for why so many I.Y. variants are found with sliders.

Moreover I think these badges are universally overpriced on dealers lists. Checking various sites just now there are currently 6 genuine examples for sale priced £125-190 which I believe ranges from overpriced to downright ridiculous.

The GM badge is definitely scarcer than the WM version however, and slidered examples more common than loop fixings.

Strangely rarest of all is the post 1908 M.Y. badge which I still have not encountered a genuine example of in GM.
