Default Help Identifying Soldier & Unit?

Hi all, I have had in my possession for a number of years now two framed pictures, a cigarette case and a tea set that was presented to the soldier on his retirement. I would like, if possible to identify the soldier and his unit.

The pictures are of a young officer which I suspect was taken in the 1930's and a much later picture of the same man as a Lt Colonel.

The tea set is inscribed: Presented by Officers, JNCO's & Other Rank RC, 13 F.F. Rifles to LT COL W.S. Baker MC. On Retirement December 1950.

The Cigarette case is inscribed: Presented by the Piffer Mess Officers Abbottabad to LT COL W.S. Baker MC on Retirement December 1950.

I am assuming F.F Rifles is Frontier Force Rifles? and MC being Military Cross?

Abbottabad is in what is now Pakistan but what unit did he belong to, what is/was the FF Rifles? is it anything to do with the 5th Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force)? or an Indian or Pakistani unit?

Can anyone also identify his other medals and any suggestions on how to go about researching this obviously accomplished soldier?

Regards

Tony
