According to "British Battle Insignia (1): 1914 - 18" by Mike Chappell, 47th (2nd London) Division battle patches were card suits in yellow, green and red, the shape of symbol designating battalion with the brigades designated by colour.

1/7th Bn, the London Regiment was in the senior Brigade of the division 140th (4th London) Brigade from November 1914 - February 1918.
