Thanks for the images!

Here is one that I picked up last week.

As part of my research into modern badges I 'have to' buy pieces that I am sure are knock offs to say the least. However, these remain important as a record and show that even the most modern of items are faked.

The one I have measures just 46mm by 40mm so is a lot smaller than yours.

It is chromed and quality is excellent.

It even has a 'makers' mark of oversized 'F&S'. However, the lugs are not those found on Firmin badges. Dunno wot Firmin would say about this...

If anyone has one for sale that came from the Gurkhas then I would be delighted to hear from them. I have most of the modern (1993 onwards) Piper's badges but still missing this one and two others being:

Royal Corps of Signals Pipes and Drums Band
Irish Guards [Pipe Majors]
