Also found this from IWM :

"BLOUSE, BATTLEDRESS, CONVALESCENTS' (HOSPITAL BLUE) (SP 1945): O/RS, ATS"

Described as "'Hospital Blues' were worn by both male and female military personnel when recovering from wounds or illnesses sustatained in service. "

But I am not sure that is accurate , why would they need/want to wear 'battledress' in a specific colour rather than their own uniform ?

I could see the uniform being worn to distinguish staff working specifically in a hospital environment/capacity.
