The strung bugle may relate to one of the Volunteer rifle companies established in Hobart and its environs between 1860 and 1868. I say that because although the type of fittings are common on items manufactured on the Indian sub-continent, they also appear on pouch badges I have seen for the Derwent Rifles and similar units.

I can't suggest anything for the buttons and nothing similar appears in Buttons of the Defence Forces in Australia by Jeff Cossum.
