'Speed and Vigilance', the unit history of 2nd Australian Tank Battalion -- the successor unit to the 2nd Armd Car Regt -- has other photos of the four vehicles which it says the regiment received on 3rd November 1939. The lettering is '2/Armd/Regt'. It doesn't identify the vehicles by make, but the 'Encyclopedia of Armoured Cars' by Crow and Icks lists it as the Ford Armoured Car, 1936.
