Perhaps of interest is that in the earlier (pre amalgamation) episodes of the TV series 'Soldier Soldier' the cap badge was a modified version of the RWF badge. These were apparently made from rejected badges and a new overlaid centre (lion over a crown in circlet HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE) was added. Not sure if they had a hackle lug although a hackle was worn. Anyone got an example of the badge?
