Yes Mick that is correct, the book documents what Bernard Cox observed and learned from the regiment regarding its dress distinctions at the point at which it ceased to exist and was amalgamated with the 4th Hussars.

What you see is a regiment in transition with officers and the RSM having partially adopted QC insignia, he records that,

* QC versions of the officers cap badge were in use and worn side by side with KC versions
* Bronzed QC versions of the service dress collar badges (Officers and RSM) were in use again worn side by side with KC versions.
* QC versions of the silver and gilt collar badges for no 1 and no 3 dress were in use.

with regard to other ranks he states that QC cap badges and QC collar badges were "never worn within the regiment".
