In short - No.
The KC version appears to be a standard OR cap badge thats nickel plated.
Various reasons - Band; Police; Sweetheart. etc. Not sure if all wore a WM version but possible.
The RGA (Volunteers) ceased to exist in 1908 and always had VOLUNTEERS / VOLUNTEER on the top banner, a KC and never slidered.
