Default Emerald Incident 1928 in Kuwait

I am trying to find out details about the unit that supplied four armoured cars to Kuwait Town (now city) in 1928. They were sent there by the British to help bolster the town defences against the Ikhwan tribal warriors. There was also a flight of RAF bi-planes parked on the sand outside the city walls. A small detachment of Royal Marines and blue jackets helped man the walls around the town who were from HMS Emerald a light cruiser. There are a few photos from the Sertees collection but nothing concrete.

This Emerald Incident was a very successful operation to save Kuwait. It was mirrored again in 1961 with Operation Vantage which was sent to save the day again when the Iraqi PM Qasim was preparing to have his army invade Kuwait. Not many remember that but almost no one knows about the Emerald Incident.

This research is for Vol 3 of the Middle East at War Series covering Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
