Default Coventry

Interlude

Have seen a rise in the number of "Coventry Ordnance Works" badges appearing on line , some are quite 'dodgy' !

I like the enamelled versions and have noticed a few subtle variations in colour , clouds and even a couple with flames coming from the gun barrel.

Spotted this "Low Moor Munitions Co.Ltd." medal/medallion and wonder if the jeweller/artisan who enamelled the Coventry badges got his inspiration for the clouds from this .....
or if it is simply coincidence ?
