Quite frankly I think that happened a very long time ago in reality. An amalgam of 13 (I think) different Yeomanry as they were styled in 1914. The Guidons of those antecedents with far more history and battle honours are long laid up.
Nonetheless it is still unfortunate.
Sadly I think in my lifetime it will end with each of the Home Nations having one Regiment plus The Guards. Chancellors and budgets destroy more regiments than wars.
