Default Bridlington School OTC

All,

K&K show 3 versions of the Bridlington School OTC badge.

The first is named OTC so is datable to some time between (if not all of the time) 1908-40. The OTC badge shown is the one I believe described in use in 1937 in EJ Martin's work on OTC badges. The 2nd and 3rd versions lack a title or designation

Type 2 (not shown in K&K) would appear to be the OTC badge with the scroll removed by being cut off. I would suggest that this was post 1940 modification of the old OTC badges for the JTC. The scroll on the modified OTC badge has been cut off this one as is evident from the snipped edges.

Type 3 (shown above) would seem to be 100% CCF but as yet no starting date. The CCF badge was in use upto circa 2012 on black berets with lugs and sew-on eyes. The CCF decided to rebadge to Yorks on khaki berets at that time.
