RACG ledger at NA:
1872. Cavalry all badges to be on tunic cloth not facing colour;
The infantry had been coerced by 1870, the most likely year is 1868.
The Corps and Departments seem ignored.
The RACD ledger notes that I made suggest a resumption by 1896 ....... it looks like late Victorian/ Edwardian. I will look at my copy of Cavalry Arm Badges.
