Default Solved

Hi All,

I followed the theory that Jelly Terror suggested saying that the coat of arms related to Preston and emailed the Preston Historical Society.

After a few emails back and forward I've had a reply back saying they believe the badge is from the Preston Tyre Fabric Manufacturing Company Limited.

It was founded in 1920 and based at Croft Street Mills. In 1937 they had acquired Higher Walton Mill and had moved there by 1939. The last reference she could find for them was at Higher Walton was in 1972.

They seem to be involved in tyres (obviously) and hoses in vehicle engines, but with the correct name the company can be found on a google search.

Hope that helps everyone.

Michael
