You might take a look at my Album showing 200 plus lanyards in my collection.

Includes copies of official documentation and NSNs where identified. Lanyards D2, P8, Q8 and S1 are Royal Anglian and antecedents related. Also M1, P2, N3, T6, O8 and J6.

Lanyards have been around for more than 100 years and some are not easy to positively identify as colours and usage have varied over the years.
