The lugged one is the very first of the a/a trial badges and is from the same stable as the RAOC ones. They were dis struck as that was the norm for the metal badges. The one piece stamping construction necessitated lugs which were inherently weak. It was not until they sorted the adhesive for attaching sliders that the badges became viable. It's a very desirable a/a badge.
