It was worn by the reserve (militia) elements of the Canadian Field Artillery and Canadian Garrison Artillery until circa 1936. The permanent army artillery wore the same badge until circa 1927, when those components became the Royal Canadian Artillery. They adopted the UBIQUE pattern badge at that time.
