Paul has really answered the question. There are various constructions said to be Officer types - the wartime pattern you want for Officer quality is really of the standard illustrated below - it is the ONLY construction quality I have seen on attributed WW2 OFFICER berets - and is similar to those in both images linked by Paul (Belly)
