Here are two Chindits wearing camouflaged slouch hats at Broadway in Burma, March 1944. If the men receiving blood transfusions were injured during the glider landings there is a very high probability that the belonged to the 1/King's Regiment.

The man with a similar hat in the photograph in the first post may be a Chindit officer at Lalaghat in India, where the gliders were flown in from. The chap in the middle may be Orde Wingate but I do not recognise his profile at the angle shown.
