Phil, YES most certainly Douglas Melford Johnson was a Member of the Irish Regiment of Canada. I have over the past few years had email correspondence with his son. On my website, there is a photo of Sgt Johnson in the UK, although the date of the photo is unknown, it is certainly just post WWII.

I will have to try to figure out where the topic of Sgt Johnson came from. I guess I missed something somewhere in this topic. LMAO would not suprise me in the least if I missed something.
