Hi Mike,

That's an impressive collection any Recce collector would love to have. Again Type A and Type B officer's, I wonder if the other Types are that much more unusual?

And that Indian Head - exceptionally rare badge since it must have been made as a trial by Gaunt, the design committee rejected it with these fairly harsh words 'We do not like the Indian's Head .. because it is foreign.' They also designed another Indian Head with the head alone above a scroll entitled 'Infantry Reconnaissance Corps', the designs being conceived before the Corps' name had been finalised. Gaunt's produced at least 6 designs other than that chosen and even Rex Whistler got in on the act providing selection of proposed designs. Any others actually manufactured for trial??
