But mate they were issued in vast amounts to the SAS post war. The French foreign legion used the camo windproof also with a full zip I believe?
Just like Stirling used a duffel coat and the LRDG (amongst others) used the troppal coat, although these items weren't designed specifically for SF , they were fit for the role these units were used in.
