The trial pattern Fus Bde badge sounded a strange design, now I see it yes, the current Fus Bde / RRF Badge has its critics but that one really doesn't look right.
The grenade itself reminds me of older Victorian era officers badges, is it of officer's quality? If so, I wonder if the OR's pattern was the current pattern?
Interesting that St George faces to the right.
Edit - I forgot to mention - wonder why the Grenadierr Guards pattern grenade was used - simpy an economy?
