The Rhodesia Regt did not have a cap badge during the Anglo Boer war. The first cap badges were in the form of a simple title - being the letters RR. The 1st Bn had a number 1 above and the 2nd Bn a number 2. These badges were generally made from sheet brass in the Rhodesia Railways Workshops in Bulawayo. There are examples of the 2RR badge in brass that are stamped. Have attached images of the ones I have, as examples.
