Default Chaudiere Officer on D-Day

Hi Bill,

I am not sure if all the Regiment was Consistently wearing the same Shoulder Titles or not. The first three pictures are on a display at the Chaudiere Museum depicting a D-Day Chaudiere Officer as he would have appeared. He is wearing the Embroidered Titles and not the Printed Canvas.

It would appear there is a tremendous diversity that exists with the Regiment in what they had and wore. Picture four is of what looks like a variant of a Dennison Smock with a photograph of the Lieutenant who wore it during the war attached to it. I am not sure if there is photographic evidence of other Infantry Regiments who wore a Dennison Smock type outerwear or not other than 1 Can Para. Perhaps the Chaudiere did not have as strick an adherence to Dress Orders.

Certainly when you see all the variants of items out there it is difficult to identify some items as authentic versus reproductions.

Best,
Mike
