An Army Air Corps beret "badged" to the Black Watch.
The beret is a "KANGOL" with Imperial size stamp and no other markings.
There is a semi circular badge stiffener behind the government pattern tartan patch, manufactured within the beret between the outer and the liner.
The tartan patch has an opening at the top, in the centre.
The rim is of black plastic.
When I got the beret it didn't have the hackle, which I've added for the photos (feathered section of the hackle is 3 1/2" long.).
Given the Imperial sizing and plastic rim I'm guessing that the beret dates from c 1970 - early 80's?
