Thank you for posting some beautiful windows. These are examples of the painting technique where the base glass is actually painted with a paint that uses ground glass as the pigment. It is then fired in a kiln to fuse the image. The individual pieces are bound together with strips of lead. Lead, over time, will yield to gravity which is why you see the horizontal lines across the window. These are bars used to reinforce the glass so that it doesn't sag over time. I do recall seeing pictures of memorial glass windows, in the UK I believe. None in the states. If you find more please post.
