Got the kubel back in 1983, did a swap with my Humber ‘PIG’ for it with a guy who makes a living supplying vehicles to the TV and film industry.
If you ever see ‘The Eagle as Landed’ when Michael Caine lands on Alderney the kubel that meets him and takes him to the pub is mine painted ‘Hollywood’ grey. For some reason Hollywood thinks all German vehicles in WW2 were grey which is not the case.
It was in a rough patched up but fairly complete condition when I got it but I have since given it a total ground up restoration.
