this link. The units listed under Eighth Army & Major units had their own patch. Look at the Army Units List. Some of these units were assigned to divisions and corps, engineer and artillery, as well as other types of units. many were assigned directly to 8th Army and would have worn that patch. KMAG and the logistical units had their own patch. A little research can clear this up. Given the ratio of support to combat troops in the USA there were many people who wore the 8th Army patch. I served with 2 senior sergeants in the late 1970's who wore this patch.
