WW1 ? Trench cap marks
Afternoon all, bit of help needed if anyone has any information, I’ve tried looking online and the forum to see if a marking to soft trench cap is ok but just cannot find information on the year mark, it’s probably me !! It’s a cap marked what looks to be

The last letter just can’t tell between a D or O , just wanted to know if this dates to a WW1 period , I’m thinking @ 1916/17 ?? Any help much appreciated
