Glad you found it! Gwalior was one of the more important princely states - their Maharaj rated a 21 gun salute. Here is a shot of the personal ensign of the ruler and a group photo of officers of the State Forces from the 1930s. Note the British advisors.

Gwalior was one of the first States to assist British Indian troops, taking part in one of the NWF campaigns in 1894, and Lancers, Infantry and Transport Corps are all listed by C. War Graves as having lost men in WWI. I believe they were employed in Mesopotamia.
