All the immediate neighbours turned out at the end of their driveways with candles, poppies, flags and medals.
It was a true representation of the forces that took place in the Gallipoli Landing (six Australian families, one New Zealand family, and one English family).
It was a morning for us all to remember the sacrifices made by many that allows us to enjoy another beautiful morning in Cairns.
Lest we forget.
